I have been thinking about writing a blog for a while, and have been put off. Well to be honest the internet is swarming with blogs that tell you how to be fit and how to be healthy, or how to eat well. Or things and ways of thinking that you can incorporate into your lifestyle to help combat and change from the way you are now. This is all great!
Except….
I keep thinking that making changes in this way is sometimes such a big challenge for most people. What seems to be the key ingredient is how much energy is available for that person to make the change.
How many of you have started a new diet or fitness regime, that it only lasted for a few weeks, or a month at least. Then somewhere down the line the old habits crept back in, and you were back to your old ways again??
We are constantly in demand in our 21st century lives that we have so much going on that requires a lot of energy on a daily basis. We very often have nothing left in our reserve banks to do the thing or things that would often have the greatest impact on our wellbeing, not just physically but on an emotional and mental level as well.
So what if you gained more knowledge; awareness and understanding of not only what novelty you want to bring into your life, but also the key ingredient that could not only give you the drive and determination to make the change, but also the ingredient that could help you sustain it!
ENERGY….
My observation is that energy is the key ingredient here, and something that most people are lacking.
How much energy do you have when you wake up?
How much energy do you have during the day?
Does your energy start to dwindle mid afternoon?
Do you flop to the sofa when you arrive home from your day?
Do you fall asleep watching the TV?
Do you have any energy left to cook yourselves a meal when the day is done?
Are you still buzzing and wired when you are trying to fall asleep?
Do you wake at intervals during the night?
Perhaps you are a clock-watcher, and awaken at every hour, before the alarm goes off?
If you feel that your answer to any of the above questions is; “I don’t have enough energy, or “I can’t get to sleep well”. To be honest the chances of you making a change, and making it sustainable are pretty slim.
So the next question is how can you have more energy, and become more energy rich? So that you have an abundance of energy to do all the things you want to do, and still have some energy in the reserve banks?
Do you think if you asked yourself the above question and took action, your life and choices might look quite different to the ones you are making currently??
Try and think of one thing you could change in your life so that you could get more energy…..
I will give you time to think about this, and keep watching out for the more posts. Lets start to make this a possibility together….
