Serving Suggestions

This custard is incredibly versatile. It pairs beautifully with Chocolate Birthday Cake or Apple Crumbles.

If you prefer a thicker custard, you can simmer it on low heat for a few extra minutes to reduce and thicken naturally.

Notes

  • Use full-fat coconut cream (not milk) for that authentic, rich custard mouthfeel.
  • Vanilla powder is used here for AIP compliance, but you can use vanilla bean seeds as well.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge; the custard will firm up into a mousse-like consistency when cold.
